4th of July Parade in Coralville 2010

Look for HAWK All-Stars in Coralville’s July 4th Parade. With over 100 entries it is sure to be a great parade. The parade will run throughout Coralville, with the start being behind HyVee, it will wind past the Rec Center and then down the center of town finishing up behind HyVee. We will put our entry number here when we know it later this week. Come cheer on the HAWK All-Stars this Sunday! Have a great 4th of July!!

Trek Fest Parade June 26, 2010

Look for the HAWK All-Stars in Riverside’s Trek Fest Parade on Saturday, June 26, 2010. We will be walking with other organizations from around Iowa. Gym Renovations – June 2010

HAWK All-Stars is under construction. The front lobby is getting a new look, but we are still open for classes. Stop by Sundays to observe cheerleading/tumbling classes between 3:00-6:00pm. Baton is offered Monday evenings 6:45-7:30pm. HAWK Spirit (dance/cheer combo team) is offered Tuesdays 6:00-7:00pm. HAWK All-Stars is still accepting enrollment for it’s competitive cheerleading teams, baton class, NEW HAWK Spirit Team (dance/cheer combo team) and tumbling classes. April is Enrollment Month

Are you interested in joining HAWK All-Stars for Cheerleading, Cheer/Pom, Tumbling or Baton? In April we will have enrollment for our 2010-2011 season. Enrollment dates are: Cheerleading & Cheer/Pom Teams Sat., April 3 10:30am-12:00pm / Mon., April 5 6:00-7:30pm / Wed., April 7 6:00-7:30pm // Baton Mon., April 5 6:30-7:30pm. These will be a opportunity to come to the gym, learn some basics and talk to the staff about team and class options. NEW this year HAWK Spirit Cheer/Pom team, another opportunity for you to be a part of the HAWK All-Star program. Everyone that joins will be placed on a team, according to their abilities. Practice schedule for April will be Tuesday and/or Wednesday 6:00-7:30pm, starting April 13th. Community SPIRIT Event March 26th

HAWK All-Stars will be hosting their annual charity event Community SPIRIT at Weber Elementary Friday, March 26, 2010. This is an opportunity to see the HAWK All-Star teams perform with a number of other Guest Performers, for the donation of a kids toy, game, clothing item. This will take place at 7:30pm at the Weber Elementary Gym. Come support the Community at this great event!

Summer Camp Dates Announced

HAWK All-Star would like to announce it’s Summer Camp Series ‘Summer School and Spirit Camp’. Dates will be Session 1: June 14-18 (incoming Grades 1-4) and Session 2: June 21-25 (incoming Grades 3-6). The camp will run from 9:00am-5:00pm each day. This camp is unique in that it will broken into two portions; in the morning participants will recive individualized assistance with reading, writing and math by a certified ICCSD teacher. In the afternoon participants will learn the basics of cheerleading, including: jumps, tumbling, motions and stunts. They will even learn a routine to show the last day of camp! NEW Skills Classes Added – Starting in July

This hour long class will cover motions, jumps, tumbling and partner stunts. There are two day/time offerings for this class, Sundays 6:00-7:00pm and Thursday 5:30-6:30pm. If you are interested in just tumbling classes we have those to offer as well. Please come stop by the gym and see what we have to offer.
